The Bucket List

The short film I submitted for my EMA application. The original cut, The Village Book, was too long for the application, so had to navigate around the two-minute requirement. I reedited the film for my submission, and The Bucket List was born.

First Glance

My senior year at the Nebraska Thespian Festival, I participated in a Short Film Workshop led by local industry professionals. Throughout the workshop, I had the opportunity to collaborate with my peers in all aspects of the filmmaking process, including ideation, writing, filming, and editing. This hands-on experience allowed me to learn directly from experienced professionals while working alongside fellow students, enhancing my skills and deepening my passion for the craft. I was honored to serve as the films director. Our film also got the exciting opportunity to premier First Glance in two Omaha theaters (Film Streams).

The Village Book

I began the journey of creating my first short film in April, starting with storyboarding and moving through each phase of production. I wrote the script in May, filmed on location in New York City throughout June, and completed the editing process in August. The film premiered in September. My sister starred in the project and was an incredible collaborator. She fully embraced my direction, putting in the effort and dedication necessary to bring my vision to life.
